Chapter: The Miracle of Christmas​

Scenario 1:  A Lack of Faith

Initiation Location: Elpis

Scene 1:

Scene Location: Elpis

- You see Nuri all excited and jolly as she walks up to you -
Nuri: Hey, did you hear? Christmas is here?

You: Christmas?
Jimon: What's the meaning of Christmas?
Nuri: Presents! It means lots of toys for girls and boys!
Jimon: Really? How?
Nuri: Santa Claus! He brings them to us on Christmas Eve!
Jimon: You're lying! Santa doesn't exist!
Nuri: He does exist!
Jimon: Prove it!
Nuri: ...
Jimon: You can't, can you? Because he's a myth; a fantasy! There is no real Santa Claus!
Nuri: You don't believe in him, do you?

Jimon: I believe in him as much as I believe in the Easter Bunny
- Before you could say a word, Jimon walks away -​

Nuri: But... he's for real... I'm sure...

Scene 2:

Scene Location: Elpis

- You see Nuri walking towards you with a toy in her hand -​
Nuri: Hey Jimon!
Jimon: What?
Nuri: Look at what I found!

Nuri: I got this from Santa when I was five. I wished for this exact present at that time, and I received it on Christmas Day!
Jimon: ...

Nuri: What do you think, Jimon? Pretty special, right?
Jimon: Oh, it's special, alright. But it's not from Santa. It probably came from your parents.
Nuri: What?!
Jimon: I've heard this story over and over. When the children have fallen asleep, the parents slip on Santa's costume, eat the cookies and drink the milk, and place some presents underneath the tree.
Nuri: ...
Jimon: It's the same story over and over. There is no real Santa Claus!
Nuri: Impossible
Jimon: You're impossible, for believing in a children's story! I'm done with this nonsense!

- Before Nuri could object, Jimon storms off -
Nuri: ...why is he so upset?

Scene 3:

Scene Location: Elpis

- As you wander around Elpis, you spot Nuri and Jimon sitting together. -

​Nuri: Jimon?

Jimon: What???
Nuri: Did you ever believe in Santa Claus?
Jimon: Nonsense! Santa Claus does not exist! Santa never existed!"
Nuri: Why do you say such things? Didn't you ever get gifts from him?

Jimon: No...

Nuri: Seriously?!

Jimon: As you recall, I was abandoned by my parents when I was young. I waited for him. Waited for him to come and make my wish come true.

Nuri: What was your wish?

To see my family. That's all I ever wanted. For Winter Wonder to take me home. But he never came, and it never happened.

Nuri: ...

Jimon: I learned the harsh truth that day... that miracles never happen, not even on Christmas Day! That's why I'll never believe in Santa, the Easter Bunny, or any fairy tale creature!
- You watch as Jimon sadly departs -
Nuri: Poor Jimon...

You: (Christmas? Santa Claus? What's all this about?)
