Scenario 9: Darkness Falls

Initiation Location: Clear Last Scenario, enter Glacier Peak​

Scene 1: 

Scene Location: Crystal Falls

​- You reach an abrupt end in the path, which leads to a crystallized falls -

Jimon: It's a dead end! Just like I predicted!

Nuri: Impossible! We've gone so far! How could this be a dead end?!

Jimon: Just look at it. It's solid water. There is no way through. This has all been for naught!

Nuri: No... that can't be! There must be a way through!

Jimon: You cling onto this hope... this false hope... that there is a Santa Claus. Well, I don't see him... I don't see him at all!

Nuri: I'm sure there is! There must be something here we haven't discovered yet! Something that will reveal a path.

Jimon: You can hope all you want. You can hope until the world ends! But the fact remains: We are standing in front of one big... giant... ROCK!

- Jimon's voice echoes throughout the mountainous range. As it does, Jimon and Nuri start bickering at each other's throats once more. -

- You begin to wonder if the journey has been in vain -

Jimon: ...and since we've come all this way, you can have my share of the presents!

- Nuri begins to cry -

Nuri: I was... so sure...

- Jimon begins his descent back down the slope. -

Jimon: Come on, dragon tamer. Let's go home!

- You pound your fist on the crystallized falls in frustration. -

- All of a sudden, a crack begins to form, which transforms into a tiny hole big enough to see through. You peek through the hole to find a way into the mountain. -

You: Jimon! Come quick! I found something!

- Jimon stops in his path without looking back -

You: There may be a cave leading into the mountain! I'm going to bust through this ice to find out!

- A roaring sound fills the night sky -

???: No one is busting through anything!

- You cringe at the thought of what might be coming. A hunch tells you its the Hades Dragon, based on previous encounters -

- Sure enough, the Hades Dragon lands on the ledge in front of you. Its eyes blazed with dark fire. -

Hades Dragon: Once I'm finished with you, that is!

Nuri: Oh no! Another dragon!

Jimon: Careful! He's a dark type!

Hades Dragon: Yes... and with this darkness comes a new twist of reality. Everything you once known about this land has changed. Darkness has fallen. Monsters roam free in this land. And you are about to meet your unexpected fate of doom. The night shall last forever!

[Dragon Boss Fight begins]

{Select 3 dragons to participate in battle. You may use mercenaries}

{Skills cannot activate in this battle. Equipped items and gem effects are nullified}

Entrance Message: "Prepare to cry!"

"Feel the darkness!"

"Go to hell!"

"Curses upon you!"

(Monster Raging Strike) "Scream! Hear them scream!"

If tamer is defeated:

Message: The rules have changed! We are at a disadvantage!

If enemy is defeated:

Message: We've defeated the darkness... for now.

Scene 2: 

Scene Location: Crystal Falls

- The Hades Dragon is thrown backward, and crashes into the crystal waterfall. The ice shatters, and the water begins to flow down the mountain once more. As the rest of the ice comes crashing down on top of the Hades Dragon, the Hades Dragon's body disintegrates, leaving behind a dragon egg of his former self. -

Nuri: A way through the mountain! We did it!

Jimon: Nice going, my fine lad! Could you conjure up a campfire while your at it? I'm freezing!

- You laugh at Jimon's joke and tell him you might next time around -

Nuri: Just wait, you old hag! We're coming for you!

- The three of you proceed into the dark, mysterious cave. -

Scene 3: 

Scene Location: Santa's Workshop

- ​The Grinch spies through a crystal ball your acts of heroics and valor -

The Grinch: So... the legendary dragon tamer thinks he's going to pay me a visit?

- The Grinch blows on the crystal ball and shakes it up, sending snowy particles flowing around. -

The Grinch: It's time for some fun!

- The Grinch sets the snow globe down, and signals to a creature nearby. The creature comes towards him and bows. -

???: Yes, my master?

The Grinch: Go pay them a visit. It's time that the tables turn upside-down for our brave heroes.

???: Yes, my master!

- The creature stands up, and runs off -

The Grinch: Ooh... this shall be fun! Let the games begin!

{Upon completing this chapter, you are rewarded with a Hades Dragon egg. The Celestial Caves is available to enter.}
