Hey there~

I got another picture for you. I created the outlines of this dragon even before the contest started and decided to finish it with colouring today. My inspiration this time? Ehh, tried to draw a fox dragon and it ended up more looking like a bat. So there it is xD

Bat Dragon

These dragons live in dark caves. Unlike real bats they have really sharp eyes and can see through the dark with their night vision, though, if they leave their caves to some lit up area they are fully dazzled for several minutes until their large eyes get used to it. Due to how their eyes are made they see better contrasts than colours.

Their diet mostly consist of berries and insects so they are no natural enemy for the human. They are shy and rather flee over fighting, using their ability of echolocation to confuse the enemy and then fly away. Though, if really necessary, it uses it`s sharp claws and fangs to defend itself and it`s babies fiercly. When born they only have a soft, purple skin, crowing scales when they get older.

Getting tamed, they take their time to bond to their tamer and will try to escape whenever they can. Though, if they developed a deep friendship they will never leave their tamer and even fight in the brightest sunlight to protect them.

Special Move: Bat`s Cry (they send out high pitched waves to confuse the enemy and strike in the very next moment)
