With its nickname golden eyes of the dark forest, Darkroots` unique golden eyes are said to bless one`s luck. But the chance of encounter is very low, as Darkroots immigrate often and has the ability to camouflage by using its leaves. 

Darkroots also have low population because of its slow growth speed. Darkroots` growth stages/forms differ noticeably by the number of the leaf on its front leg:

One leaf - Baby

Two leaves - Juvenile

Three leaves - Adult

?Darkroots` special attack is not to be considered lightly. It is called `Golden cage of Unlucky` or in another name `Reversed Glare` which was given by the first and the only one dragon tamer known for being able to tame this dragon. This attack will drain foe`s energy like the roots sucking in water from the soil.

There`s a theory that Darkroots is a distant relative of Timber dragon, but it`s pretty far-fetched.
