거대하고 수명이 긴 해룡. 깊고 깊은 바닷속 열수 분출공에서 태어난다. 자라날수록 모험심이 커져 더 얕은 바다에 갖다오곤 한다. 턱은 얇지만 강력해 돌과 무른 금속도 십을 수 있으며, 때문에 목 뒤에서 끊임없이 피어오르는 검은 연기는 광물 성분이 풍부하다. 연기가 공기 중에 노출되면 안개로 흩어지는데, 어찌나 자욱한지 해와 달이 몇 주 동안 안 보일 정도이다. 몸집에 비해 광물을 많이 섭취하진 않으나 가까이 온 생물은 뭐든지 입에 넣는다. 몇몇 개체는 금에 맛을 들이고는 보물선을 적극 공격한다.

Iku-Tursos are massive, long-living sea dragons. They are born from hydrothermal vents in the darkest depths of the ocean. But as they mature, they become adventurous and start taking trips to shallower waters. They have thin but powerful jaws that can crunch rocks and softer metal, so the black smoke that endlessly billows out from behind their necks is rich in minerals. When exposed to air, the smoke dissolves into fog so thick that it obscures the Sun and Moon for weeks. They only consume small amounts of minerals relative to their size, but they will put any creature that comes close into their mouths. Some develop a taste for gold and actively attack treasure ships.

이쿠-투르소는 핀란드 서사시 ≪칼레발라≫에 등장하는 바다 괴물입니다.

디자인은 열수 분출구와 그 주변에 서식하는 생물 Riftia pachyptila, 그리고 문장(紋章)에 묘사된 드래곤에서 본땄습니다.

수 년 전부터 자작룡에 도전하고 싶었지만 이제야 용기를 내어 봅니다.
