Scenario 8: Light of Renewal

Initiation Location: Clear Last Scenario, enter Glacier Peak

Scene 1: 

Scene Location: Glacier Peak

-  You approach the glacier range. The towering mountains of ice and snow stretched across the land from one end to the other as far as the eye could see. -

Nuri: This range is so massive!

Jimon: Are you sure we are headed in the right direction?
Elaro: Yes, Santa's Workshop lies just above those mountains. You'll need to travel by foot to enter; a barrier protects the valley.

Jimon: Will we have to climb the mountain?

Elaro: There's a small path that leads to a cave. The cave will lead to Santa's Workshop. Good luck!

-You thank him and head on your way up the narrow path on the mountainside. -

Nuri: By the way... has anyone seen Pink Belle? She keeps disappearing, especially during battles.

- You tell her that you've not even seen her since you last encountered her -

Jimon: That no good pink fairy! What is she up to?

- You shrug and tell him that you have no clue. -

Nuri: So... Jimon... do you still deny Santa's existence?

- Jimon gives Nuri a nasty look -

Jimon: Of course I do! Only fools would believe in such a myth!

Nuri: Then why come? Deep down inside you, I know you wish to believe.

Jimon: I'll believe it when I see him!

- You notice a light setting below the horizon. -

Nuri: You're right, its getting late. We should stop somewhere to make camp.

- You point out to Nuri that night time has already fallen about an hour ago -

Jimon: Yes, I saw that too. Where is this new light coming from?

- The bright light in the sky flies towards you. -

Nuri: It's a monster!
Jimon: But monsters don't give off bright light!

Nuri: They do now!

- The bright light stops in front of you, hovering over the cliff. -
???: I am the Elderly Dragon, the healer of light.

- You realize that this is the same dragon you fought during raids a while back -

Nuri: This guy friendly?
Jimon: Probably another one of the Grinch's flunkies!

- The Elderly dragon glares at the three of you. -

Elderly Dragon: So, your going to stop the Grinch, aren't you? Well, I got news for you... no one is going anywhere but down. And I literally mean "down"!

Nuri: Oh no! It's hostile!

Jimon: Brace yourselves! This one looks stronger than the last 4!

[Begin Elderly Dragon Boss fight]

If tamer is defeated:

Message: Elderly dragon keeps healing himself! We need another plan!

If Elderly Dragon is defeated:

Message: Elderly ​Dragon's light was snuffed out. Victory has been achieved.

Scene 2:​

Scene Location: Glacier Peak​

- ​Elderly  Dragon nods in approval. -

Elderly  Dragon: You certainly are the "Chosen One", just as the Grinch predicted. But you need more than just strength to win this battle. I can offer you this much. Take it, its yours.

- You nod and take the dragon egg from the Elderly Dragon. -

Elderly  Dragon: Be on your guard. There is a plot of betrayal ahead of you, where loved ones are lost and sacred ones are destroyed. Do not lose hope and faith in your friends. Even enemies who have fallen in battle can become good once more. Have faith, trust in yourself, and may the power be yours.

- You thank the Elderly Dragon and continue on your way up the mountain slope. -

Scene 3:

Scene Location: Santa's Hut

- ​​The Grinch stands face to face with Santa and his pet dragon. -

Santa: You are sure about this? I can sense a dark force within you.

Grinch: I am very sure. As I stated before, the darkness within me is only temporary, as it was planted by these conspirators the day I joined forces with them. But I've been a spy the whole time, watching and protecting the good ones. There is no doubt that this "legendary dragon tamer" has already defeated several of my associates. He is coming for you, with a dark heart, with vengeance. He will stop at nothing to fulfill his dark purpose.

- The young dragon standing beside Santa whines nervously. Santa kneels down and caresses her gently.  -

Santa: Don't worry, my little one... it's going to be alright.

- Santa stands back up and nods his head at the Grinch. -

Santa: Very well then. I shall make my retreat while you deal with the hostiles.

- The Grinch nods confidently at Santa, and the two depart for their own separate ways. -
